The Sound

Liquid and open, with a large soundstage and three dimensional images, as you would expect from a good valve amplifier. However, unlike other valve amplifiers, the bass is tight, tuneful and extended; there is complete silence ‘behind’ the music; treble ‘rings off’ properly and the overall sound is never fatiguing. Musically the amplifiers are so involving that a common comment made on auditioning them is ‘it doesn’t sound like there’s an amplifier in the system  - it seems like the musicians are in the room’.
